Change the Burned-Out Light…

IMAG6039-1
Well, this is my first blog entry for December — and the very last blog entry for the year. Once again, I can’t believe how fast the time has escaped…

A couple days ago, I noticed that one of our outside lights had burned out. So today I dragged the ladder from the shed and climbed up and replaced it with a brand-new one.

And then it occurred to me how symbolic that was…especially today…of getting rid of something that no longer worked, and replacing it with something that gave light…

It’s no use hanging on to anything that keeps you in darkness. And sometimes it takes work. So dig through an old shed if you have to, pull out a ladder, and carefully climb up higher… Work to change what’s burned out, then throw it away.

Relish the light…

More than that…relish His Light…

Merry Seventh Day of Christmas to you! And Happy New Year’s Eve!

And in a few minutes…HAPPY 2014!!!

XOXOXO
