A Favorite Scene from “The Karate Kid”

Some days you just want to say, “What the heck?!” — or worse. ; ) When a day seems to grow more incredulous as the hours go by, and obstacles push you back a couple of notches, and nothing seems to be adding up to anything, just breathe and know there’s a reason, although it might be hidden at the moment.

Say a prayer. Regain your strength. And keep your momentum. That’s what I’m telling myself today. Let the challenges develop your muscles — especially your “flying” muscles — until you’re soaring. One day those obstacles will be a distant memory.

Don’t let anything hold you back. Keep up the fight while you’re headed toward flight.

As an actor and writer, it all adds up to material for story and character development. As a human, even more so…
